Fire Alarm
SERVICES
heading
MR Electrical Services can test and certify your Fire Alarm system to meet with the above requirements, and provide annual packages to include for regular testing and operation of your systems.
All our Fire Alarm work is carried out in accordance with BS 5839-6:2004 along with any recommendations made by the local Fire Officer, and we take both of these into consideration when Instaling and Testing Fire Alarm systems.
We can also install additional sounders, heat detectors, smoke detectors and re-wire parts of the system to deal with refurbishments and new building works, and recently we have being asked to replace sounders with a combined strobe/sounders to help companies deal with the new legislation relating to the disability discrimination act.

Every electrical installation will deteriorate with useage and age. Therefore it is important that the person responsible for the maintenance of the installation ensures that the safety of users is not put at risk, and that the installation continues to be in a safe and serviceable condition.
An Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) will provide you with a report on the condition of your existing installation.
The report will indicate any departures from BS 7671:2008 (as amended), and make any recommendations that may be necessary to bring it up to the standards required by current legislation.
Following the inspection will, if requested, provide a quotation for any repairs that may be necessary.
It is worth highlighting that this is a requirement of the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 and increasingly, insurance companies are insisting that EICR’s are carried out as a condition, before they will insure buildings and stock.
Depending on the type of premises the period or timescale between inspections differ. These inspections must be carried out by qualified electrical engineers.
